About Patch

The right fit exists.
We help you find it.

Finding the perfect pair of jeans takes time, energy, and a lot of tabs open. Finding the right date — or long-term partner, or situationship — can take endless swiping, change based on your mood, and honestly feel a little demoralizing. The same can be said for finding the right therapist. The right fit. The right match. The right one. Whatever you're looking for, Patch is the right place to start.

Why we built Patch

Patch was started by therapists — for therapists and clients alike. Whether you're a therapist going through a rough patch with your caseload, or a client trying to patch and mend something in your life, we've been on both sides of that equation.

We've worked as clinicians, referring clients to other providers and watching the process of finding the right fit be harder than it needed to be. We've also tried — as people, not just professionals — to access the care we needed ourselves. That combination is exactly why we built Patch.

For people looking for a therapist

Finding a therapist can be genuinely daunting. Will they take your insurance? Will they get your sense of humor? Will they take you seriously? Are they warm? Are they honest? Why does no one seem to have in-person availability anymore?

The list of needs and wants is endless — and it should be. This is someone who will hear and witness the worst of you and the best of you. Picking the right therapist matters. With Patch, clients can use both of our quizzes no matter where they are in their therapy journey. Whether you're a complete beginner trying to figure out what type of therapy even makes sense for you, or someone who's been in and out of therapy for decades and just needs to find care that checks every box — Patch us in.

For therapists looking for the right clients

Ever worked with a client you just knew you didn't jive with? It's more common than anyone talks about — and it's one of the quieter contributors to burnout. Working with clients you genuinely enjoy, clients you look forward to seeing every week, is not a luxury. It's sustainable practice.

Therapists deserve a platform that gives them leads and matches based on real compatibility — not just whoever happens to find their Psychology Today profile. It's easy to spiral into the questions: Am I in the right field? Why isn't my profile going further? How do I find more clients I actually want to work with?

Being a therapist is hard. Finding the right clients doesn't have to be. We can't promise answers to all of those questions — but we do hope to make your practice feel a little more like yours.
